Ranji Trophy Group C: Hyderabad avoid defeat against Kerala
Tanmay Agarwal (110) and Akshath Reddy (104) hit twin centuries to help Hyderabad score 249-1 in their second innings even as Kerela pocketed three points due to their massive first innings lead in their drawn Ranji Trophy Group C cricket match in Kerala on Wednesday.
Tanmay and Akshath stitched together a 235-run opening partnership after Hyderabad resumed their second innings at 4-0 on the fourth and final day.
Tanmay hit 15 boundaries in his 229-ball innings, while Akshath cracked 10 fours and two sixes in his unbeaten 225-ball stay at the Krishnagiri Stadium.
Skipper Sachin Baby, who scored an unbeaten double century yest, was the only wicket-taker for Kerela as he dismissed Tanmay in the 73rd over with Raiphi Gomez taking the catch.
It was a solid batting display by Hyderabad after they were dismissed at 270 in their first innings. However, it will
give them only one point as Kerala had surpassed Hyderabad’s 1st innings, declaring at 447 for seven in 158 overs
yesterday(on Tuesday).
Services earn three points after draw with Andhra
Services secured three points by virtue of their first innings lead against Andhra Pradesh in a Group C Ranji Trophy cricket match that ended in a draw, in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Replying to Andhra’s first-innings score of 234 in the fog-hit four-day encounter at the Palam Grounds, Services rode on Rajat Paliwal’s 75 to post 286 and gain a decisive 52-run lead.
Getting behind the trail, the Mohammad Kaif-led Andhra was 19 for one when stumps were called for the final time.

HP earn three points after draw with Goa
Himachal Pradesh secured three points by virtue of their first innings lead against Goa in a Ranji Trophy Group C cricket match that ended in a tame draw in Goa on Wednesday.
Himachal Pradesh took their total tally to ten points from two matches while Goa have three points from thee draws.
Himachal Pradesh, resuming on their overnight total of 377 for nine, were all out for 381 in 159.2 overs.
Darshan Misal, who dismissed last batsman Gurvinder Singh, finished with two wickets.
Goa, who conceded a 24 run first innings lead, were bowled out for 184 in 78 overs in their second innings.

Jharkhand’s Ishant hits 201; Tripura claim 3 points
Ishank Jaggi cracked an unbeaten double century to foil Tripura’s attempt to walk away with an outright win but the visitors still claimed three points from their Ranji Trophy Group C cricket match owing to a first innings lead in a drawn game, in Dhanbad on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old hit an unconquered 201 which was laced with 22 boundaries and three sixes. He was ably supported by Kushal Singh, who came up with an innings of 71 as the duo helped Jharkhand post 409-8 declared in their second innings.
For Tripura, Manisankar Murasingh (4/107) returned with a four-wicket haul and Abhijit Sarkar took two wickets, while Viki Saha (1/92) and Abhijit Dey (1/44) also chipped in with one wicket each.
