Steve Smith, who hit his maiden double century against England at Lord’s, received warm praise on the micro-blogging site Twitter on Friday.
Smith became the first Australian since 1938 to score a double ton at Lord’s.
With his knock of 215, he gave his team the upper hand as the Aussies declared at 566/8 and also dismissed England’s top four batsmen.
