South African pace bowler Dale Steyn had fun playing barefooted football with local kids here after rain washed out the fourth day’s play of the first Test between the Proteas and Bangladesh.
After spotting some kids playing football from his hotel room on Friday, the tear-away fast bowler tweeted: “Stuck in my room all day, watching these kids playing soccer in the rain looks like plenty fun… #shouldigo.”

The South African caused an uproar earlier this year by saying that the Bangladesh tour was a waste of time for him and he would use the deliveries left in him for major tournaments, which created a buzz in the social media with Bangladesh supporters criticising the pacer for his choice of words.
