Indian physiotherapist Aijaz Bashir Ashai was arrested by the Belfast police following allegations of sexually assaulting a masseuse, the Belfast Telegraph reported.
He was later released on bail. Ashai, from Mumbai, is currently working with the Nepal senior national cricket team.
The incident took place on Tuesday at the La Mon Hotel and Country House in Northern Ireland, where the Nepal team, taking part in the World T20 Qualifier, was staying.
On Wednesday he was presented at the Ards Magistrates Court after a night in prison. Deputy District Judge Joe Rice fixed Ashai’s bail for £2,500 with another £2,500 as surety by the Nepal team.
The next date of hearing was set for August 12. He was asked to deposit his passport and present himself before the police thrice a week.
