Navjot Singh Sidhu, the entertaining cricket commentator and laughter show ‘judge’, has now entered the wrestling sport doing commentary for the Pro Wrestling League matches.
Rising from the recent life threatening health concern and undergoing treatment for blood clot in vein, Sidhu remained high in spirits. “Aasan si zindagi to har koi jee leta hai, Mogambo to 10 saal pehle khush hota tha aaj sardar khush hota hai,” said Sidhu.
Doing commentary for wrestling, Sidhu flirted with his love for cricket.
“Qadd to 5 foot bhi lamba hota hai, aur kabhi andar se khokhla hota hai. Gavaskar (Sunil), Bradman (Don), Tendulkar (Sachin)- mehnat karne wale raaj karte hain,” said Sidhu.
But as far has his political journey is concerned, the former MP clarified that ‘it is not the end of story my dear’.
“Aise muqabley roz roz nahi hote, sher pe sher- upar se Sidhu Babbar sher. Zindagi ki jaddo jehed tab karta hai fauji, jab apni zindagi daav par lagi ho,” said Sidhu.
And the roaring lion did not end here. “Kabhi patjhad, kabhi bahaar. Kabhi utaar, kabhi chadhaav. Sher jo bhi kaam karta hai, poori taaqat laga ke karta hai. (Autumn or spring, highs or lows- whatever lion does is with full power).”
Sidhu, maintaining silence on the way ahead for Punjab assembly 2017 polls, summed it up like a warrior.
“Honsla hai pathhar ka, ek sahi chot par dono pighal jaayein. Jokhim uthana hoga warna patli gali se nikal jaana hoga (One right aim and you can defeat two sides. Take risk or else face defeat).”
His battle for Punajb, it seems, has just begun.
