Kevin Pietersen apologized to Quetta Gladiators’ fans after losing in the final of the inaugural edition of Pakistan Super League.

Pietersen scored a 18-ball 18 for Quetta before a brilliant catch from Asif Ali ended his innings.
After winning the toss, Islamabad United chose to field in Dubai.
Kumar Sangakkara along with Ahmed Shahzad held on to the innings as both went on to make individual half centuries.
Quetta Gladiators ended their allotted 20 overs with 174/7 on the board.
In reply, Islamabad had a pretty decent start as they lost their first wicket at a score of 54 in the form of Sharjeel Khan. Soon charge was taken by Dwayne Smith and Brad Haddin.
Smith was eventually dismissed after a match-winning knock of 73 whereas, Haddin remained unbeaten on 61 to guide his team home.
Islamabad United clinched the final battle and title by 6 wickets with 8 balls remaining at their disposal.
Kevin Pietersem was in all praises of the first edition of the PSL.
