World T20 tickets on sale from today
Sale of tickets for the World T20 will begin on Wednesday via the ICC portal http://www.icc-cricket.com, it was announced on Tuesday. The delay in sale of tickets has affected the travel plans for fans from across the world. “BCCI has appointed BookMyShow as the ticketing agency for the ICC World Twenty20 2016.

Phase One of the ticket sale will see tickets go on sale for the matches (excluding India matches and the Semi Finals & Final) to be played at the following venues — Bangalore, Chennai, Dharamsala, Kolkata and Mohali. The online sale of tickets as indicated above will commence at 12:00 noon on 24th February 2016,” a BCCI release stated.

However, tickets for the four India games and the semifinals and the final will be sold online through a lottery system. In order to participate, customers need to register by filling up an online registration form, indicating their preferred match after which they will be automatically enrolled into the draw.
