Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis claimed an easy 6-0, 6-4 victory over Casey Dellacqua and Darija Jurak. (Source: Family Circle Cup)India’s ace tennis player Sania Mirza will become the first Indian women’s player to reach the World No. 1 spot in women’s doubles when latest the WTA rankings will be released on Monday.
Sania will take the top spot after she won the Family Circle Cup doubles title with partner Martina Hingis on Sunday.
The top-seeded pair claimed an easy 6-0, 6-4 victory over Casey Dellacqua and Darija Jurak.
This was third title on the trot for the Indo-Swiss pair.
