India shuttler PV Sindhu won her third Macau Open title on Sunday as she defeated Japan’s Minatsu Mitani 21-9 21-23 21-14.
Sindhu ran away with the lead right from the word ‘go’ as she build up a 10-point lead over her rival in the first game and won it 21-9.
But the Japanese came back strongly as she edged Sindhu 15-21 in the second game.
Indian shuttler then repeated her ‘A’ game to build a nine-point lead and easily ran away with it 21-16.
Sindhu defeated her opponent Akane Yamaguchi of Japan 21-8 15-21 21-16 in the semi-final on Saturday to make it to the summit clash for the third time in the career.
