BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur has hit back after the reports in the media of his links with an alleged bookie.
In a letter to ICC president N Srinivasan, he asked for the list of ‘suspected bookies’ to be made public.
“I would request at least now share with me and other colleagues in the BCCI the list of supected bookies in India, so that we may keep away from them,” he wrote.
I have written a letter to Mr N Srinivasan, Chairman @ICC regarding the ICC advisory based on ‘unverified information’. @BCCI

Thakur defended himself by saying that he knew Karan Gilhotra, the suspected bookie, through state-level cricketing activities.
“I have known this person who has been active in the political and cricketing activities in Punjab and adjacent states. I had no knowledge or any clue about his activities as a suspected bookie,” he wrote.
Thakur also blamed Srinivasan’s ‘friend’ Neeraj Gunde for circulating the information to the media.
“Mr. Neeraj Gunde is incidentally circulating to the media in Delhi the details of documents against your critics in BCCI. He operates on your behalf,” he lamented.
Earlier in the day, media had reported that ICC has written to BCCI after it received unverified info about Anurag Thakur socialising with an alleged bookie.
