Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been ruled out of the next two IPL matches due to a hand injury which he suffered during Tuesday’s match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
“Ashwin has split in his middle finger. We do not know how many stitches he will require… he has been taken to the hospital. The team has decided not to take Ashwin for the next two matches,” CSK team manager Russell Radhakrishnan said during the post-match press conference.
Ashwin will remain in Chennai.
