Kumar Sangakkara tweets about encounter with ‘rude’ UK immigration officer
Sri Lanka cricketer Kumar Sangakkara revealed that he was subjected to ‘rude behaviour’ by a British immigration officer as he landed at the London airport on Saturday.
Sangakkara tweeted that he had first such ‘horrendous’ experience in last 15 years of touring the country.
However, he said the rest of the lot were courteous enough. The elegant southpaw wrote a series of tweets explaining the situation.
Back in London last night. Had a horrendous experience with a rude, patronising and extremely discourteous UK immigration officer.

I understand the need for vigilance completely but common courtesy and manners is not too much to ask for .

Luckily the rest of the UK immigration officers were lovely. Coming to the UK for 15 years and first time I have encountered this.

No matter colour, religion or fame every well intentioned traveller deserves courtesy. Luckily for me it was one person and just this once
