Facebook, undoubtedly the world’s largest stadium with 650 million connected to a sports page, brought millions of cricket enthusiasts together during the 2015 edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League.

An in-depth look into the conversations reveal that between April 1 and May 24, 2015, 29 million people globally had 312 million interactions about the IPL season on Facebook. In India, 21 million people had 246 interactions.

The Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians final, which turned out to be an one-sided affair, drove 2.4 million interactions from 1.2 million people globally. About 75% of the conversation took place in India, with 912,000 people driving 1.9 million interactions.
