Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has come down hard on his ex-colleague and Indian cricket team director Ravi Shastri after he was accused of of having an altercation with the Wankhede pitch curator Sudhir Naik.

“Ravi Shastri completely out of line to abuse Sudhir Naik, curator at Wankhede. Showed disrespect to age & fellow test cricketer,” tweeted Manjrekar.
Besides him, former India cricketer Vinod Kambli too made his displeasure public and tweeted: “Mr Ravi shastri why blame the wicket n the curator who holds lot of respect.Blame Team India who didn’t do well.Desperation nothing else.”

India lost the series decider to South Africa in Mumbai by a whooping margin of 214 runs and it was reported that director Ravi Shatri and India bowling coach Bharat Arun apparently had a verbal spat with the Wankhede curator after the game.
