Former South Africa captain Graeme Smith, who is in the commentary team for the ongoing India-South Africa series, talks about Virender Sehwag and why he would have loved to open the innings with the belligerent right-hander.
Speaking to BCCI.tv, Smith explains how his and Sehwag’s different style of play would have made them a difficult combination to bowl to.
“It would have liked to open the innings with someone different than me. Someone like Virender Sehwag. He was very good on the off-side and didn’t pull that often. He used to cut or upper cut. He was strong down the ground, on the leg-side. We would have been a difficult combination to bowl to,” Smith says.
