The year 2015 in the cricketing calendar has been a roller coaster ride for certain players. Youngsters have taken the center stage at the international platform. New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and Australia’s Steve Smith are prime examples of greatness in the making. On the other hand, AB de Villiers has transformed the way cricket has been played over the years.

Kane Williamson (New Zealand)
Kane Williamson has been in prolific form this year. In all international matches for New Zealand, he has scored a record 2633 runs at an average of more than 65. He also has eight hundreds and 13 fifties this year.
2. Steve Smith ( Australia)
The ICC cricketer of the year, Steve Smith has 2165 runs this year at an average of 60. The Australian captain has also scored seven hundreds and 10 fifties.
3. Joe Root ( England)
England have ridden on Joe Root’s form the whole year. Scoring at an average of almost 52, Root has 2131 runs to his name in all international matches in 2015.
4. David Warner ( Australia)
David Warner not only scores runs for Australia but at a quick rate. This year he has scored 1933 runs with six hundreds and nine fifties.
5. Martin Guptill ( New ZeaLand)
The player who holds the record of the highest individual score in World Cups, Martin Guptill has been phenomenal for New Zealand in ODIs. Out of his 1903 international runs, 1287 have come in the shorter format of the game. 237 of the ODI runs have been scored in a single innings – against West Indies in 2015 World Cup.
6. AB de Villiers (South Africa)
The most dynamic batsman to have ever played the game, AB de Villiers transformed the way cricket has been played. Regarded as the most complete batsman, the South African scored 1759 runs at an average of 60.65 and with an astonishing strike rate of 98.26.
7. Ross Taylor (New Zealand)
Another New Zealander who features in the list of top-10 run-getters of 2015 is Ross Taylor. The former Black Caps captain has scored 1694 runs at an average of more than 50.
8. Mohammad Hafeez (Pakistan)
Mohammad Hafeez, without being noticed, is at number eight of the list. With 1608 runs for Pakistan, Hafeez is the only player from his country to make it to the list.
9. Hashim Amla (South Africa)
Hashim Amla, with four hundreds and as many fifties, has scored 1394 runs this year and sits ninth on the list.
10. Alastair Cook (England)
Alastair Cook has not played a single ODI or T20Is this year but still makes it to the list at number 10. The highest run-scorer in Test this year, Cook has 1357 runs. The England captain has scored these runs with help from three hundreds and eight fifties.
