The Indian cricket team began the year 2015 with a tri-series loss in Australia but amended that by reaching the semi-final of the 2015 World Cup.

The Test team, led by Virat Kohli beat Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka to after 22 years to win a series and later at home, the team defeated world number one side South Africa.

Two of the Indian legends, Virender Sehwag and Zaheer also said goodbye to the game.
