India will host South Africa for 3 T20Is, 5 ODIs and 4 Tests in a series that will stretch for 72 days starting September 29.
The complete fixtures were announced by the respective cricket boards, BCCI and CSA, on Monday.
South Africa will kick off their India tour with the first T20I at Dharamshala which will be followed by a couple of T20Is in Cuttack and Kolkata.
The Proteas are then scheduled to play the 5-match ODI series before taking on the hosts in a 4-match Test series.
