Ever since he made his debut in 2008, Virat Kohli has evolved as a batsman in all three format of the game. His batting average has gone upwards since then and he is now the backbone of the Indian batting line-up.
Living up to his tag of one of the most dangerous striker with the bat,Kohli once again proved his worth in the first T20I against Australia in Adelaide, a ground where he has always played special knocks.
At the Adelaide Oval, Kohli has scored four centuries in all three formats and a half-century as well.
Even MS Dhoni made note of Kohli’s incredible record at the ground after India’s 37-run win over Australia in the first T20I on Tuesday.
“I think in Adelaide they’ll be naming a stand after him (Kohli), the amount of runs he’s scoring. By the time he ends his career, quite a few Australian grounds will have his stand,” said Dhoni.
Kohli has played four Test innings at the Adelaide Oval and has scored a total of 394 runs with an individual best performance of 141 against Australia.
In the ODIs, Kohli has been equally brutal at the bowlers as he has a total 140 runs in this format with a ton to his name.
Kohli has only played a single T20I at Adelaide where he dispatched the Australian bowlers all over the park to score a personal score of 90*.
