Back in the summer of 2004, Virender Sehwag showed the world what damage he can do with his style of cricket in the longer format. India were touring Pakistan and were scheduled to play three Tests on the tour.

It was a first day blockbuster by Sehwag as he smashed a 375-ball 309 in the first innings in Multan and helped India post a mammoth 675/5 dec. While the match was also remembered for the ‘controversial’ declaration as Sachin Tendulkar remained unbeaten on 194, it was Sehwag who, for the obvious reasons, hogged all the limelight.

During his 375-ball stay in the middle, the aggressive opener smashed as many as 39 boundaries and hit six big sixes.
