Virender Sehwag became the second Indian after Sachin Tendulkar to scored a ODI double hundred when he smashed 219 against West Indies in Indore on December 8, 2011.
Playing the fourth ODI of the five-match series against West Indies, India won the toss and elected to bat first. Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir shared a blazing opening stand of 176 in 22.5 overs before the latter was run-out for 67. After Gambhir’s wicket, Sehwag fired on all cylinders to become the second man on the planet to score a double ton in ODIs.
