Virender Sehwag announced his retirement from cricket on Tuesday. The aggressive opener will not feature in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, and will quit playing domestic cricket at the end of the season.
Sehwag made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 1999 and went on to represent the country in 104 Tests, 251 ODIs and 19 T20Is. During his illustrious career, Sehwag was part of the team which reached the 2003 World Cup final, won the ICC World T20 in 2007 and won the World Cup in 2011.
