Sania Mirza was recommended for the Khel Ratna award after a successful year where she won the women’s doubles title at the Wimbledon.
The Karnataka High Court stayed the ‘Khel Ratna’ award given to Sania Mirza on Wednesday after a petition was filed against it by Karnataka Paralympic athlete HN Girisha.
