Cheteshwar Pujara ton leads India comeback against Sri Lanka in third Test

Opener Cheteshwar Pujara scored an unbeaten 135 and shared a 104-run partnership for the eighth-wicket with Amit Mishra to lift India’s first innings to 292-8 at stumps on the second day of the third Test against Sri Lanka.
Starting Saturday on 50-2, India reached lunch on 119-4. The tourists had a mini-collapse to 180-7 in the middle session before No. 9 Mishra joined Pujara to lead the recovery in the decisive match with the series tied 1-1.

Pujara had faced 277 deliveries, and hit 12 boundaries, before rain stopped play for the day. Mishra made 59, his third Test 50, before he was stumped by Kusal Perera off Rangana Herath.
Sri Lanka seamer Dhammika Prasad had the best bowling figures of 4-83.
