Jamaica’s Usain Bolt completed a gold-double at the World Athletics Championships after he won the men’s 200m final with a timing of 19.55 seconds on Thursday.
Bolt was off the blocks in a flash and after being challenged by Justin Gatlin near the half-way mark, the Jamaican switched to top gear to cross the line with a substantial lead over Gatlin.
USA’s Gatlin, the fastest man this year before the Beijing Worlds, was second with a timing of 19.74 seconds.
Earlier, Bolt had won the 100m and Gatlin had finished second.
