England has named a 14-man squad for the fourth Ashes Test, including uncapped Derbyshire left-armer Mark Footitt and Yorkshire seamer Liam Plunkett.
The Test starts Thursday at Trent Bridge.
The England and Wales Cricket Board announced the squad on Saturday, a day after England beat Australia by eight wickets with two days to spare at Edgbaston in the third Test. Steven Finn made a triumphant return to test cricket with match figures of 8-117.
Leading 2-1, England can clinch the unpredictable series with victory in Nottingham but will miss its all-time leading wicket-taker James Anderson, who left the third Test mid-over Thursday with a side strain.
There were no other changes to the Edgbaston squad with Mark Wood most likely to replace Anderson after sitting out Birmingham with an ankle niggle.
Adam Lyth stays as opening batsman alongside captain Alastair Cook, despite scores of 0 and 7 in the second Test defeat at Lord’s and 10 and 12 in the third Test.
England: Alastair Cook (captain), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Ian Bell, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Steven Finn, Mark Footitt, Adam Lyth, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Mark Wood.
