England reclaimed the Ashes on Sunday after thrashing Australia by an innings and 78 runs in the fourth Test at Trent Bridge.
The English media gave a thumps-up to England’s performance and many newspapers claimed the win as ‘crushing.’
‘The Independent‘ ran the win report with the headline ‘England win the Ashes – taking three quick wickets to complete Fourth Test thrashing of Australia’.
The website ‘The Mirror‘ reported that the England have now on five of the last seven series and termed the victory in 4th Test as a thrashing.
One of the leading newspaper, ‘The Guardian‘ gave a descriptive report of the match.
The Daily Telegarph ran a photo of Stuart Board kissing his girlfriend after the Ashes win.
‘BBC Sport‘ reported “England regained the Ashes after wrapping up a spectacular victory over Australia on the third morning of the fourth Test at Trent Bridge.”
